Periodontal disease is a serious bacterial infection that makes its way into the bone around your teeth. If your dentist has described you as having, “deep pockets,” you are probably a candidate for surgical cleaning.

About The Procedure
Surgical cleaning is necessary for patients with a periodontal infection that has significantly altered the level of bone supporting the teeth. This procedure removes infection from your teeth, bone, and gums to restore your oral health. With a high success rate, surgical cleaning removes the infection the first time. However, the patient will need to return for periodontal-specific general cleanings to maintain their oral health.
After a detailed evaluation, Dr. Brown will let you know if surgical periodontal therapy will be helpful for you.
