He uses the experience he gained from being Chief Resident at the University of Florida every day by performing top-tier periodontal treatment to his patients. About Dr. Brown
Dr. Jeffrey Brown graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston where he served as Vice President for his dental school class. He completed his residency training in periodontology at the University of Florida, where he became Chief Resident in his third year. He also received a Master’s Degree in Dental Sciences as well as certification in Intravenous Conscious Sedation. Upon graduation, he completed the rigorous process to become board certified. This distinction should make you feel confident in your decision to join our office as a patient.
He provides only the most excellent and compassionate care for his patients.

Why See A Diplomate
A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (also referred to as Board Certified) is a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty.
To be educationally qualified for Board certification requires:
- Certification as a dentist, including basic college education and completion of dental school.
- Certification as a periodontist after at least 2-3 years of a residency program approved by the American Dental Association.
In addition to the educational requirements, Board certification requires:
- Comprehensive oral and written examinations covering all phases of periodontal disease and its treatment, including dental implants.
- Recertification of continued competency in periodontics through testing and continuing education.
In short, having a Diplomate as a periodontist ensures that you are seeing a professional who has taken the time and effort to prove, before a panel of internationally respected peers, that he is competent enough to hold the specialties highest status.
Dr. Brown became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in May, 2016.
